Broke Nanny Bags The Billionaire

Fiona asks her ex-husband Damon for rent money, only to be humiliated by him and his sister, who accuse her of stealing for her mother's funeral. Damon throws her out, leaving her on the street with just $34.80 and an urgent need to find any job to survive.

Fiona follows a nanny ad to billionaire Vance's mansion. The housekeeper warns her not to get the wrong idea like previous applicants, and Fiona admits she just needs room and board. Vance is coaxing his son Ryan to play blocks when Fiona recognizes him from the news and resolves to land the job.

Fiona doesn't push Ryan when he hides away, instead using blocks and a favorite song to build trust. Ryan shares his name and lets her join his castle project. Vance sees the connection and hires her on the spot, freeing her from Damon's household.

Fiona bonds with Ryan over his stuffed lion Cheese, and he offers her a block. The butler tells Vance this is the first time Ryan has let a stranger get close. Learning Fiona is a top-tier graduate who left her divorce with nothing while the Cole family calls her a gold digger, Vance orders a contract and an investigation into her ex-husband's firm.

Vance tells Fiona that Ryan lost his mother and needs someone patient he can trust. He offers her a nanny contract with a monthly salary of a hundred grand, and she immediately agrees to sign, asking only for the freedom to make positive adjustments for Ryan's wellbeing.

Fiona takes Ryan on a park picnic, where he proudly shows off his sandwich and she praises his creativity. She recalls being treated like a maid by Damon's sister's family. Ryan wants a pink bud from a thorny bush for his father, and Fiona picks it for him, noting he is finally accepting the color pink.

Vance notices Ryan slept in Fiona's room again and tells him to sleep alone. Fiona and the butler explain that Ryan only has occasional trouble sleeping, and a few pages of reading settle him. His sleep has actually improved lately.

Fiona and Ryan agree that she will read to him until he falls asleep. Ryan volunteers to help Fiona move the tub and tells her she is never allowed to leave him. Vance orders the butler to fix the backyard fence and get a bigger tub.

Vance raises Fiona's pay to 150,000, saying she has improved Ryan more than any therapy. When Fiona needs a hospital follow-up, Ryan agrees to go with her, stepping outside the estate for the first time.

At her hospital follow-up, Fiona's doctor notes her depression is improving. Ryan learns she is sick and offers her candy, prompting Fiona to recall how Damon's family mocked her pain. Back at the estate, a loud noise triggers Ryan's panic attack. Fiona guides him through it but fears Vance will fire her.
