Lost Her Once Regret It Twice

Patrick and Amelia are in a car crash and need blood. Nona orders doctors to drain Amelia, despite her own wounds, to save her twin brother Matthew. When warned it could kill her, Nona insists only the male heir matters.

Jack is cornered by coworkers demanding unpaid window-washing wages from Carter Group, while his wife needs chemo money. Lily goes to Carter Group to collect her father's pay and clashes with heir Matthew, landing in deep trouble.

Furious that Matthew clashed with a cleaner's daughter, Nona confronts Lily and calls her lowly. She threatens to withhold the unpaid wages and drive the family out of New York unless Lily kneels and apologizes to Matthew.

Lily kneels and begs Nona and Matthew to spare her father Jack. Nona threatens to fire Lily and have her jailed unless Jack climbs outside the ninth-floor window with no safety gear to clean the glass. Jack agrees to save his daughter.

After Jack finishes cleaning the window, Nona refuses to pay and instead accuses him of denting her car. She demands 170,000 in three days and has him and Lily thrown out. Lily notices Jack coughing up blood and begs to take him to a hospital, but he refuses, unable to afford a doctor.

Knowing his time is short, Jack tells Lily she is not his biological daughter. He found her barely alive in his hand cart eighteen years ago and saved her with his own rare blood type. He gives her the keepsake and photo found with her, urging her to find her real family, but Lily refuses to leave him.

At the Carter Group's 30th anniversary banquet, Nona announces that each of her three children will take charge of a core division, with the best performer named her successor in three years. Matthew pledges his best, while a mention of Amelia's old alcohol allergy pulls the family back into longing and regret.

Lily and her adoptive father Jack arrive at the Carter banquet to collect unpaid wages from Matthew. Matthew mocks her dress and calls the event no place for trash. When Lily offers a pie in gratitude, Matthew knocks it to the ground and dares her to speak again.

Jack asks Matthew for his wages, but Matthew counters that Jack still owes him a hundred thousand in car repairs. Jack begs for the money to help his crew, so Matthew offers a deal: lie down, open his mouth as a golf hole, and earn ten thousand per shot. Despite Lily's protests, Jack agrees.

Jack finishes the seven-shot golf bet, but Matthew throws the cash on the floor and forces him to pick it up bill by bill with his mouth into a dog bowl. Lily shoves Matthew to the ground, and an enraged Matthew orders his men to grab her.

Seeing Jack shield Lily only spurs Matthew on. He pulls out a hundred-thousand-dollar bottle and tries to pour it down Lily's throat. Jack begs, shouting that Lily is deathly allergic to alcohol, but Matthew sneers that he wants to see just how dangerous his fine wine is and forces it on her.
