A Cute Baby Falls from Heaven — Where Is Dad?

Jiang Jinhe is accused by her fiancé Hong Shixian and her stepmother of sleeping with a beggar. She insists her sister drugged her, but no one believes her. Hong orders his men to beat her and the child she carries, and Jinhe collapses under the blows while trying to protect her belly.

While playing, Jiang Xiaobao catches Huo Xingzhou's attention. Huo finds the child familiar and tries to talk to him, but Xiaobao teases his old-fashioned approach and leaves. Afterward, Huo's subordinate reports that Old Master Huo has sneaked out of the hospital again, then notices Xiaobao's striking resemblance to Huo Xingzhou.

Jiang Jinhe waits at the meeting spot. Wen Zhang arrives with Jiang Xiaobao, who thanks him before reuniting with his mother. Wen Zhang then departs.

Jiang Xiaobao spots someone mistreating an elderly man and calls for Jiang Jinhe. Jinhe intervenes, only to be threatened by the caretaker who claims to work for the Huo family. When the caretaker turns physical, Jinhe strikes back.

Huo Xingzhou arrives and orders the caretaker Yunyun thrown into the sea. When Old Master Huo sees Jiang Xiaobao, he insists the boy looks exactly like Xingzhou as a child and suspects Xiaobao is his grandson. Jiang Jinhe blames the old man's Alzheimer's and tries to leave, but Xingzhou invites them to the old master's upcoming birthday celebration.

Old Master Huo urges Huo Xingzhou to marry and mentions a family jade pendant lost five years ago. When Jiang Jinhe arrives at the banquet with Xiaobao, Jiang Yunwan blocks her at the entrance, humiliates her, and accuses her of conspiring with Hong Shixian to frame Yunwan five years ago.

At the banquet entrance, Jiang Yunwan and Hong Shixian mock Jiang Jinhe for lacking an invitation. Jinhe slaps Yunwan. Butler Huo appears and publicly declares Jinhe a distinguished guest of the Huo family, warning that disrespect toward her is disrespect toward the Huos, then escorts her inside.
