Fat Man Came Home a Billionaire

Mason returns home after winning 500 million, only to be turned away at the door by his wife Olivia. She and his former friend Derek have been living together, and they mock his ability to provide for his daughter Sophie. Mason demands to take Sophie with him.

Sophie cries to go with her father, but Olivia and Derek mock Mason as a fat, broke sewer worker who would only bring her bullying. Mason promises her a good life before Derek throws him out. Penniless and unable to cover a four-dollar debt, he spots news of a 500-million jackpot at a convenience store.

At a mall, Mason sees a five-hundred-dollar offer to clear a backed-up sewer. Bystanders mock the filthy job, but he takes it, saying he once did this for a living. Sophie begs him not to go, and Mason promises he will work hard to give her a better life and come take her home.

After Mason clears the sewer, the mall manager tosses him only fifty dollars and threatens to call the police for property damage and extortion. Bystanders tell him to let it go, and Sophie cries, refusing to believe her father will always be like this. Mason promises her he will earn money before they are thrown out.

Mason takes a filthy drain-clearing job that everyone else refuses, asking for only thirty dollars. After finishing the work, he thinks only of making his daughter Sophie wait one less day. A lottery ad announces a 500-million jackpot, but he scoffs that such luck never finds a broke fat man like him.

Mason checks his lottery ticket and misses the third and second prizes, dismissing the 500-million jackpot as a scam. Olivia tells him to move out and announces she and Derek are taking Sophie to Europe permanently, insisting Sophie will forget him. A broadcast then reveals the winning numbers for the 500-million super jackpot, matching Mason's ticket.

The 500-million prize lands in Mason's account. He arranges top care for his father and decides to get in shape. At the airport, he stops Sophie from leaving for Europe. Olivia and Derek mock his ability to raise her, but Mason stands his ground, citing his new wealth.

At the airport, Olivia and Derek mock Mason for being fat, poor, and an ex-con, insisting he will only bring Sophie shame. Sophie defends him, but the relentless ridicule makes Mason fear that his current state might truly burden his daughter.
