Falling for My Rival Stepbrother

Noah wakes from a disturbing dream about Ethan to find the real Ethan in his bed. Ethan claims he kept Noah off the team for years just to make Noah notice him. Their confrontation is cut short when Noah's father intervenes and reveals Ethan is about to become Noah's stepbrother.

Noah learns Ethan will share his room and protests, only to be threatened with losing his allowance. Ethan blackmails Noah into accepting him as a hockey coach. During a tense training session on the ice, their physical proximity escalates until they agree to settle things one-on-one.

Benjamin catches Ethan coaching Noah and questions why he wastes time on a playboy. Ethan firmly defends Noah's talent and draws a line with Benjamin as just a teammate. Privately, Ethan is unsettled by his physical reaction to Noah.

Noah drinks and plays games with friends at a bar, refusing Ethan's control. Ethan forces him to leave by threatening his job and warns he will tell their father about Noah's spending, compelling his obedience.

Noah accuses Ethan of only getting close to please their father and force him out. After Ethan apologizes, Noah gets injured and bleeds, but Ethan insists on staying to care for him. Noah demands a massage as compensation, and Ethan removes his wet clothes, shifting the mood.

Ethan removes Noah's towel during a massage, and their verbal sparring leads to an unexpected physical reaction. Ethan offers to help, leaving Noah conflicted and questioning his own feelings. When their father approaches, Ethan demands Noah call him brother and kiss him, but Noah refuses.

Their father comes upstairs looking for them, forcing Noah and Ethan to hide in a closet. Ethan taunts Noah about the thrill of almost being caught, while Noah accuses Ethan of scheming for his inheritance. After the danger passes, Noah vows to take Ethan down with him if he falls.

Ethan claims the bite in the closet aggravated an old injury. Noah calls his bluff but bandages his wrist anyway, then tosses him a stack of cash for a doctor visit, mocking how cheap their father is.

Noah announces he is going to the dance with Henry. Ethan blocks him, claiming their father ordered him to keep Noah in line. The confrontation moves to the bathroom, where Ethan calls Noah's bluff, just as their father walks in with milk.
