False Paternity, True Love

Seraphina Sullivan has an intimate encounter with a mysterious man in a hotel room, after which he leaves abruptly. She later learns from a doctor that she is pregnant and is advised to take care of herself going forward.

Seraphina picks up her children and learns Zirui was mocked for his unusual eyes and lack of a father. A doctor confirms their eyes are healthy and the trait is likely inherited. Meanwhile, Grandma Sterling, eager for Nathaniel to settle down, plans a children's charity gala to expose him to bright kids.

Seraphina sends her children to school, where Zixuan urges her to eat, and she reflects on the hardships of raising them alone. A Sterling Group motorcade arrives to select talented children for the charity gala, and Zirui is accidentally knocked down at the school gate.

Zirui is knocked down at the school gate, and Nathaniel Sterling gets out to check on him and ask his name. An assistant finds the two children are not on the invitation list and rejects them for the charity gala, citing Seraphina’s unmarried status and their unknown father. Zirui insists he has a mother, and Nathaniel notices the boy’s heterochromatic eyes match his own.

The assistant notices Zirui's heterochromatic eyes are identical to Nathaniel Sterling's and recalls the grandmother saying Nathaniel's eyes changed with emotion as a child. He wonders if these are the children Nathaniel has been searching for. Other parents insult Seraphina and demand the school expel the twins, calling their eyes unlucky.

Seraphina pleads for her children, but the other parents pressure the principal, calling the twins' heterochromatic eyes unlucky. The principal expels Zirui and Zixuan on the spot. As they are being driven out, Nathaniel Sterling appears and challenges the principal's authority to expel them.

The assistant apologizes for the school incident and formally invites Zirui and Zixuan to attend a children's charity gala as youth representatives, revealing that Nathaniel Sterling and Grandma Sterling will also be present. Seraphina initially declines but ultimately agrees. Meanwhile, Nathaniel presses his doctor about the woman from the penthouse suite five years ago and orders the search to continue at any cost.
