Awakening of the Silent Tycoon

Nathan Thornton remains comatose while Emily Price struggles to cover his medical bills. A stranger steps forward and offers one hundred thousand dollars in aid. Emily is deeply moved, finding renewed hope in the kindness of others.

Celestial Consortium chair Su Rong confirms to the press that her son Nathan Thornton has been missing for three years and orders Jianghai head Chen Jiu to find him at all costs. Meanwhile, Emily Price receives an extra five hundred yuan from a sympathetic customer at her tea stand and expresses her gratitude.

Li Muru visits Emily Price and urges her to abandon the comatose Nathan Thornton, arguing that Emily has sacrificed her future and family for a lost cause. Emily admits her guilt toward her parents but insists Nathan has no one else, vowing to continue his treatment.

Li Muru hands Emily Price a bank card containing one million yuan from their father's house sale and fifty thousand from her own savings. She urges Emily to visit their father on his sixtieth birthday, and Emily finally agrees to go home.

Emily Price returns home to find her father planning to haul bricks despite his leg pain, while her mother worries. She kneels to apologize to her parents, who quickly lift her up and insist no apology is needed among family.

Relatives arrive for Emily's father's 60th birthday and immediately mock the simple food and the family's poverty. They call the comatose Nathan a useless burden and urge Emily to find a richer man for a bride price, prompting her to defend him.

The relatives mock the Price family as poor and foolish for selling their house to care for the comatose Nathan. They then bring in Liu Haoyang, son of a Celestial Consortium deputy head, and pressure Emily to accept him as a wealthy suitor. Emily firmly refuses, declaring she only wants Nathan.

Liu Haoyang offers Emily five hundred thousand to leave the comatose Nathan, while relatives mock her for clinging to a vegetable. Emily refuses outright, declaring she won't spare a glance for any other man no matter his wealth. When Liu tries to lay hands on Nathan, Emily shoves him away with a fierce warning.

Nathan wakes from his three-year coma and tells Emily he knows everything that happened while he was unconscious. He promises to repay her family's kindness and warns that he will make those who bullied them pay. Liu Haoyang taunts him, but Nathan's calm reply shocks everyone present.

Nathan's mother Su Rong and his father the Northreach Lord both learn their son has been found and immediately set out for Jianghai. In the hospital room, Liu Haoyang continues his provocation, claiming he wants Emily and offering Nathan a hundred thousand to walk away, while boasting about his father's position at the Celestial Consortium. Nathan calmly replies that he could crush Liu with one hand.

Chen Jiu readies lavish gifts and a villa to welcome Nathan back, then sets off for Li Family Village. In the hospital room, Liu Haoyang escalates his insults, offering a luxury apartment and a million in cash, demanding Emily serve him in bed.

Su Rong orders betrothal gifts prepared and sets off for the Li family to propose in person, demanding arrival within twenty minutes. In the hospital room, Liu Haoyang's insults escalate; when Li Muru intervenes, he grabs her and attempts to assault her.

Liu Haoyang continues his insults in the hospital room and strikes Li Muru's father. Nathan rises from his bed and warns Liu Haoyang that he is doomed and no one can save him.

Liu Wansheng arrives with Chen Jiu, claiming they are there to welcome the young master of the Xiao family, unaware he is standing before them. Liu Haoyang mocks Nathan as a crippled loser until Chen Jiu bows to him. Nathan orders Chen Jiu to tell Liu Haoyang who he really is.

Liu Wansheng erupts in anger, only for Chen Jiu to slap him. Chen Jiu berates the father and son for their blindness, then formally bows to Nathan in his wheelchair and announces that he is the true heir of the Celestial Consortium.

Everyone reels from the revelation that Nathan is the Celestial Consortium heir. Nathan confirms his identity to Emily and vows his devotion will never change. Chen Jiu presents a limitless Celestial Consortium supreme card as a gift for Emily's father's sixtieth birthday.

Chen Jiu presents a second gift: a priceless national treasure jade carving, the only one in the world, offering VIP privileges anywhere. Nathan says no treasure compares to Emily and thanks her family for entrusting her to him. Liu Haoyang tries to slip away, but Nathan stops him and demands he pay the price.

Liu Haoyang begs his father Liu Wansheng for help, and both Liu Wansheng and Chen Jiu plead for leniency. Nathan retorts that if he were not the heir of Celestial Consortium, the Price family would have no recourse. He remains resolute and refuses to let Liu Haoyang off.

Liu Wansheng confronts Chen Jiu to protect his son, claiming that those Liu Haoyang bullied deserved it. Nathan orders action. Liu Wansheng threatens to call in his connections and phones Zhou Jian, a commander under the Northreach Lord. Nathan remains unshaken and dares him to summon whoever he can.

The Northreach Lord confirms that Nathan is his long-lost son and orders an immediate departure to Jianghai. Su Rong has already arrived. Liu Haoyang, emboldened by learning Zhou Jian is a commander under the Northreach Lord, openly disparages Nathan.
