Blood for Blood

Ethan recalls his past as the ruler of New York's underworld and his promise to his late wife to live a normal life. He plans a grand surprise for his daughter Anna's wedding, only to discover that her fiancé Carlo has brutally abused her. After seeing what they did to Anna, Ethan swears to tear Carlo apart piece by piece.

Ethan tells Leo he stepped away from the underworld to raise Anna and left the Blood Syndicate to Leo. He decides to announce his return at Anna's wedding as a warning to anyone who might harm her. Leo promises to invite every name in New York.

Carlo tells Anna she is nothing but cheap fun and unworthy of marrying into the Vallejo bloodline. Anna begs to call off the wedding and tell Uncle Leo, but Carlo mocks her father's identity and refuses to let her go.

Ethan arrives at Leo's house looking for Anna. Leo confronts Carlo about hurting her, but Carlo denies it. Once alone, Carlo beats Anna and threatens to kill her father if she tells anyone again. Anna hides her injuries from Leo, who grows suspicious.

Leo confronts Carlo about Anna's bruises. Carlo scoffs that she is just a construction worker's daughter beneath their family. Enraged, Leo threatens to kill Carlo if he hurts her again and orders him to treat the wedding with respect.

Anna returns home claiming wedding nerves, but secretly covers her bruises with makeup. When Ethan comes back, he notices her tears and the marks on her arm. Realizing Carlo hit her, he erupts in rage and vows to kill him.

Anna tells Ethan her bruises came from a horse-riding accident and insists Carlo did not hurt her. Ethan gives her his late wife's necklace to wear at the wedding. Anna asks him to find golden lilies from her mother's hometown for her bouquet. Despite the risk of missing the ceremony, Ethan agrees and immediately orders a private jet and round-the-clock surveillance on Carlo.

Carlo bursts in and brings Anna before a group of powerful New York men, ordering her to take good care of them for him. Anna pleads in terror, but Carlo ignores her and leaves her alone among the strangers.

Carlo asks Anna if she enjoyed his friends and calls her trash. He admits his father Leo protects her so he cannot divorce her, but vows to turn her into a plaything for any man who wants her. He orders her to act the perfect bride at the ceremony or her father's body will be found at a construction site. Desperate, Anna says goodbye to her father and moves toward the window.
