The Dragon King's Fated Male Bride

Lane secretly takes his sister Lily's place on the sacrificial ship. The villagers discover the deception and threaten to kill him for defiling the ritual. When the dragon king appears, he touches Lane and declares him his fated mate, shocking everyone.

Lane is taken to the dragon king's lair, where Aziel forces a kiss on him despite his protests. Aziel claims Lane eases his pain and heals his wounds, calling him the most exquisite cure. Lane struggles in fury but is bewildered by his own physical reaction to Aziel's touch.

Cornered by Aziel, Lane recites a summoning spell, only to discover Aziel is the dragon king. Aziel demands Lane ease his pain as his mate, but Lane resists with a blade, declaring he is a dragon slayer's descendant and will never love him. Enraged, Aziel abandons Lane to face deadly fire traps in the lair.

Lane wakes in the dragon's lair and tries to escape, but two attendants block him. They mock him as the king's eighth bride, a mere novelty who will not survive the night, and insist only Lady Martha is worthy of Aziel. They force a chastity belt onto Lane and threaten to parade him through the streets, while he vows revenge.

Martha orders the attendants to tame Lane before the full moon so the king can enjoy him. They surround Lane, threatening to break every part of him, starting with his mouth. Lane fights back, cursing them all as filthy beasts and vowing his blood will haunt them.

Aziel confronts Martha for defying his orders and humiliating Lane. Martha claims she only meant to prepare the fragile human for the wedding night and insists she is his rightful mate. Aziel learns she has poisoned Lane and gives her until tomorrow to deliver the cure, or her entire bloodline will die.

Lane confronts Aziel over the chastity lock, but Aziel swears he never ordered it. Lane still blames him for everything and demands the lock be removed. Aziel refuses to let anyone else unlock it and announces they will consummate the marriage in front of everyone that night.

At the wedding, the crowd doubts Lane can survive the night, and Aziel declares Lane his bride. Another dragon man taunts them and is driven off. When Lane tries to leave, Aziel threatens Lily's safety, forcing him to stay for the Moon Goddess's trial.

Lane passes the Moon Goddess's trial by striking the Moonguard beast head-on, earning Aziel's approval. A once-in-a-century blood moon appears, and onlookers speculate that the wedding night will be brutal, doubting Lane will be able to walk by dawn.

The blood moon amplifies Aziel's dragon instincts, and Martha claims Lane won't survive the night. During the ritual, Aziel loses control while Lane resists, only to find his own body responding against his will.
