Manor Nanny Becomes the Family's Beloved

The Zong family opens auditions for a night nanny, and candidates face a strict medical exam that eliminates most of them, leaving only six finalists. The fourth young master will choose in person, and among the hopefuls is a woman from a poor background who has raised her younger sister alone since childhood.

Since her mother left, the woman has shined shoes since she was fifteen to get by, while her sister Aan has suffered a severe mental breakdown that years of treatment have failed to cure. With a renowned psychiatric specialist due to visit and costs far beyond her means, the night-nanny job's steep salary becomes her last hope.

The selection moves to a second round: candidates must cross the fourth young master's room without making a sound, and one after another they fail and are eliminated. With only one spot left, she steps forward and asks to try.

With one slot left, earlier candidates keep failing as they try to step around fallen leaves. She takes a different approach, clearing every object that could make noise instead of avoiding it, and advances. The fourth young master finds her intriguing but still insists he wants no woman in his room, unhappy with his grandmother's arrangement.

The selection enters its third round: in front of Old Madam Zong and the Fourth Young Master, each candidate has ten minutes to calm a small parrot to sleep, with only one spot open. Several women struggle helplessly against the bird, leaving the contest tense and unresolved.

As the parrot challenge continues, a candidate is mocked and accused of having ulterior motives toward the Fourth Young Master Zong. Harsh words fly as onlookers question her competence, making clear that humiliation is simply part of the job she's applying for.

A candidate is mocked over her plain clothing and accused of ulterior motives by a Zong relative, who pushes to have her removed from the parrot test. She kneels and begs for one more chance to prove she can calm the bird, before the scene is cut short by an urgent call for a doctor.

Old Madam Zong collapses, and the attending doctor insists it's just her usual seizure disorder, pushing for an immediate sedative injection. Drawing on five years of home care and emergency certification, the candidate publicly argues it's actually acute poisoning from a sleeping pill overdose. Mocked as unqualified, she begs for one minute to search the room for the pill bottle to prove herself.

A candidate is accused of cursing Old Madam Zong and threatened with a lawsuit for endangering her life. She insists her five years of night-care experience make such a mistake impossible, but moments later Old Madam Zong loses consciousness and stops breathing, throwing the room into panic.

Old Madam Zong suddenly loses consciousness and stops breathing, throwing the household into panic. The young hypnotist quickly assesses the situation and performs emergency measures, confirming a sleeping-pill overdose caused a shallow coma. As Old Madam Zong is stabilized and taken to the hospital, the fourth young master's cold attitude toward her begins to shift.
