My Incompetent Husband Is Secretly an Almighty Genie

Parrish is dying, and Christine refuses the marriage he has arranged. He summons Elijah, the genie who granted his earlier wishes, and reveals his final wish: Elijah must marry Christine, protect her for five years, and then he will be free.

The lawyer reads Parrish's will: Christine inherits everything only if she marries Elijah. She resists but relents under pressure from the shareholders. After the wedding, she immediately draws a hard line, forbidding Elijah from touching her and demanding he hide their marriage at work.

Hiller is dying of lung cancer. Elijah forces his way in and heals him. In return for a few more years of life, Hiller must sign a deal with Elijah's wife, Christine.

Christine receives a fifty-thousand-dollar necklace at a jewelry store. A friend brings up her past with Tony and then surprises her by bringing Tony himself to her birthday celebration.

At the party, Tony is recognized as a Super Bowl hero. Guests urge him to put a necklace on Christine and mock Elijah as merely an assistant husband. Tony deliberately drops a gift to humiliate Elijah, who walks away, noting the contract ends in four days and he will no longer see her.

With the stock price falling, Christine hopes Tony can use his golf connection to Peter to reach Hiller. Elijah says he has already settled it and that Hiller will sign and invest, but Christine and her mother dismiss him as a mere house helper. Tony is on his way, and Christine orders Elijah to behave and drive her to the salon.

Tony agrees to talk to Hiller about Christine's contract and urges her to leave her useless husband. Christine says she is married, but Tony keeps pushing her to divorce. Elijah has grown blue roses for Christine over five years, only to have her dismiss them as tasteless.

Christine accuses Elijah of staying with her for five years only for her family's money and says she will never love him. Elijah says he is merely keeping his promise to her grandfather and reveals he will disappear from her life in a few days. Meanwhile, Tony asks Peter about a partnership, but Peter insists on signing with Christine as his family's benefactor wishes and refuses to reveal the benefactor's identity.

Hiller arrives at the company and decides to sign with Christine without reviewing the proposal, promising additional investment to help Parrish grow. Christine assumes Tony helped behind the scenes and calls to thank him, but Tony says he never got to talk with Peter. Christine then leaves, saying she is going out for work.

Christine thanks Tony for helping close the deal with Hiller. Tony brings up their past and asks to start over, but Christine refuses, saying she has a husband, Elijah. Tony keeps pressing and moves toward her until she tells him to stop.
