Dumped by My First Love, I Chose the School Belle. Why Are You Crying Now?

Luo Chen arrives at Lin Yuexin's 20th birthday party, only to learn that her promise to accept his confession was just a game of Truth or Dare. She humiliates him in front of everyone and shows up with her boyfriend Gu Enming. Heartbroken, Luo Chen walks away.

Lin Yuexin introduces her boyfriend Gu Enming and asks Luo Chen to bless them. Luo Chen returns her gift, declares they are even, and leaves. Confident he will return in three days, Lin Yuexin is unaware that Luo Chen calls Chen Zong to sign a contract and enter the Jiang University league.

Lin Yuexin notices Luo Chen didn't bring her breakfast. The dorm aunt urges her to value him, but Lin Yuexin dismisses him as a doormat. In a flashback, she scorns the buns he made. She decides to visit him and grant him a chance to apologize and return.

Lin Yuexin visits Luo Chen, claiming to give him a chance to apologize, but really expecting him to beg her forgiveness. She counts down outside his door, only to learn from a neighbor that he moved out the night before. Finding her photo in the trash enrages her, and she vows to make him kneel and apologize.

Luo Chen goes to sign up for the university esports club and sees Ye Qingzhou, the school belle, drawing a crowd. He asks about registration, then helps her in a game. She recognizes him as the gaming friend who once aided her and tells him about the upcoming tryouts.

Luo Chen shares an umbrella with Ye Qingzhou in the rain, drawing whispers from onlookers. Lin Yuexin spots them while walking with her boyfriend Gu Enming and assumes Luo Chen has found a replacement for her, stirring her jealousy.

Lin Yuexin stops Luo Chen and accuses him of changing his look to get her attention and of hiring a woman to put on an act. Luo Chen says they are already done and he will never walk that road again. She demands an apology, but he refuses and leaves with Ye Qingzhou.

Lin Yuexin has a fever. Her friends Xu Tongxue and Yu Rou look after her. Yu Rou hands her something and suggests she take a look. Going through it, Lin Yuexin recalls a time when Luo Chen brought her milk tea and handwritten notes after she failed an exam, only for her to drive him away. She now realizes how much he once did for her.

Feverish, Lin Yuexin fantasizes that Luo Chen will rush to her side as he once did, even apologizing to thin air. Yu Rou calls Luo Chen from Lin Yuexin's phone, but he hangs up immediately. Lin Yuexin refuses to give up, convinced he still cares and just hasn't heard she is sick.

Lin Yuexin realizes the soup was from her mother, but still refuses to give up. Using Yu Rou's phone, she threatens Luo Chen with a harassment report unless he meets her at Jiangcheng Hotel. He shows up, and she mistakes it for surrender, offering to be his girlfriend.
