The Barren Don's Secret Twins

Sage, a mute woman, marries Adrian, a mafia heir rumored to be sterile. Adrian suffered a severe injury at eighteen that left him unable to have children, leading his former fiancée Vanessa to break their engagement. Under pressure from his grandfather Walter, Adrian reluctantly weds Sage but holds no affection for her.

A year into their marriage, Adrian comes home drunk and soaked, then spikes a high fever. Sage undresses him and wipes his body with warm water to bring the fever down. As she tends to him, she discovers his sleeping body is aroused.

Sage recalls their first year of marriage, when they never shared a bed or touched. While Adrian lies unconscious with a high fever, she climbs on top of him and joins with him despite the pain. Half-delirious, Adrian reaches up, grabs her waist, and murmurs for her to stay.

Sage fears Adrian will realize she took advantage of him while he was unconscious, so she decides to pretend nothing happened. At breakfast the next day, Adrian thanks her coldly and seems unaware. Three months later, Sage discovers she is pregnant, stunned that Adrian, rumored to be sterile, got her pregnant on the first try.

Sage still hasn't found a way to tell Adrian about the pregnancy. Adrian sends a custom gown and insists she attend the gala with him that night, invoking Grandpa's wishes. Reluctantly, Sage goes, and when she arrives, Adrian shows a flicker of amazement and tells her to be confident.

Sage enters the ballroom behind Adrian and hears guests mock her as a mute wife who doesn't belong. Adrian warns that anyone who laughs at her will lose their family business, which steadies her. When he hands her apple juice, she suddenly gags and rushes toward the restroom, while two women whisper about Adrian's infertility and her possible pregnancy.

Adrian takes Sage home and calls the family doctor. After resting, Sage finds her pregnancy test missing and runs into Adrian holding it. She admits she is pregnant and intends to keep the babies. Adrian says he will not raise another man's children and plans to send her abroad until the birth, then divorce.
