Divorced: Claimed by the Mafia King

After discovering her husband Preston's affair, Claire files for divorce but is forced out with nothing due to the prenup. Penniless, she interviews for an assistant position at the Moretti estate, making it clear she wants only the job. She then encounters the mafia king Raphael Moretti in the hallway.

Claire changes into a guest robe and is sent to coax Noah, who refuses to eat. She crawls under the table and speaks as Groot, winning him over. Raphael then tells her to come upstairs after the meal.

Claire receives fifty thousand dollars for getting Noah to eat. Raphael presents a marriage contract to ensure she stays to care for Noah, promising not to force her. Just ten hours after her divorce, Claire marries again with no ceremony or guests.

Claire recalls begging Preston for twenty dollars, while Raphael gives her fifty thousand for caring for Noah. When she needs a hospital follow-up, Noah panics at the thought of her leaving. Raphael makes an exception, allowing Noah to go with her under discreet security.

At her follow-up, Noah learns Claire once stopped eating because of depression. He offers her chocolate to ease the pain. Raphael appears unexpectedly, sees her medical file, and demands to know what is wrong. Claire begs him not to fire her.

Raphael questions Claire about her diagnosis and learns she has severe depression. He promises her the best psychiatrist and orders her protection. He offers her a limitless card, which she declines, and instead gives her a modest car.

Preston confronts Claire, mocking her job and car, and offers to take her back. Claire refuses. Noah finds Claire crying and comforts her with a hug. Raphael comes home early, leaving Claire worried about losing her job.

Claire accidentally falls into Raphael's arms, and he mistakes it for seduction. He mentions the last woman who tried that is at the bottom of the harbor, and Claire swears it was an accident. Raphael then asks about her encounter with her ex-husband Preston and hints that one word from her would make him disappear.

Raphael tells Claire she will accompany him to a gala the next night. Claire agrees despite her nerves. Noah sees Claire dressed up and adores her, but Raphael tells him to call her mommy. A female companion mocks Claire's dress, but Raphael says she only needs to stand beside him—he writes the rules.

Preston corners Claire at the gala, insisting their divorce was only a lesson and demanding she return. Claire refuses. Raphael intervenes and publicly declares Claire is his wife, leaving Preston stunned.
