The Queen of Capital Returns

Claire is released on bail with the President's help and reunites with Thomas, general manager of Titan Capital. She learns her ex-fiancé John is being honored at a Stellar Technologies gala tonight and plans to reveal herself as his secret benefactor. While heading to the hospital to see John, a young child runs up and calls her Mommy.

Claire helps Alex rush his daughter Ella to the hospital after she faints. She learns Ella has neurocardiogenic syncope, and Alex plans to sell his company to fund a cure. Claire has Thomas investigate and discovers a targeted treatment that just cleared clinical trials, with FDA approval imminent.

Alex is about to sell a division to fund Ella's treatment when Claire alerts him that the targeted drug is about to receive FDA approval. After the approval is announced, Alex cancels the sale, and Ella credits Claire for her luck. As Alex presses to know who Claire is, his fiancée walks in and recognizes her with shock.

Claire demands an explanation for John's betrayal. John dismisses her as beneath him and boasts about his director role at Stellar Technologies. Claire reminds him she took the fall for him seven years ago, but John credits his own talent. When he claims Titan Capital's chairwoman recommended him, Claire reveals it was her.

Claire brings her daughter to the hospital and recalls taking the fall for John seven years ago. Facing economic fraud charges, John was saved when Claire went to prison in his place, and he promised to marry her upon her release. But John's inner monologue reveals he was using her all along.

John coldly dismisses Claire as worthless during their breakup. Alex and Ella witness it and decide to teach John a lesson. Grateful for Claire saving Ella, and seeing his daughter's attachment, Alex suddenly proposes to Claire.

Claire admits she was in prison, but Alex doesn't mind. He promises to strip John of everything at the welcome gala and announce Claire as his wife. Claire agrees, and their marriage is officially registered. Alex also hints at a surprise for the gala.

At John's welcome gala at Stellar Technologies, Kevin Doyle, Director of Operations, flatters him. Claire appears and is immediately humiliated and told to leave, called an ex-con who doesn't belong. She insists Alex Langford invited her personally but has no invitation to show.

John and Kevin mock Claire, insisting Alex Langford would never invite an ex-con. Claire stops explaining and demands John confess everything and apologize, or risk losing his R&D director role. The crowd defends John’s talent, but Claire hints his hiring was not based on merit.

Claire insists she made John's career and warns that when Alex arrives, John will be the one ridiculed. The crowd keeps mocking her, and Kevin throws spare change, telling her to crawl back where she came from.

Claire steps onto the stage and pushes back against the crowd's praise of John. She calls them fake and demands one real accomplishment from him. John mocks her prison record, and Claire warns that the love he discarded is what many people dream of.

John admits he was never the one who saved Claire and only used her. Claire declares she shines without him and will take back everything she gave. She destroys Alex's gifts and John's contract, enraging the crowd, and Kevin orders her legs broken.

Alex arrives to a crowd of admirers while John's side pressures Claire to apologize. Claire refuses, then someone falls into the water. Claire cries for help, claiming she has been drugged. Alex feels an inexplicable familiarity with Claire, but others dismiss it as a mere resemblance.

Erica claims Claire ruined the contract and gifts for John, then reveals Claire was imprisoned seven years ago for economic fraud. John denies all ties with Claire. Alex orders Claire thrown out, but Claire warns everyone not to touch her.

John and Erica mock Claire for pursuing Alex, calling her a shameless gold digger. As John moves to throw her out himself, Alex intervenes sharply, demanding to know who gave John permission to touch her. He then calls his daughter Ella over to sit with him, stunning everyone present.

John and Erica keep insulting Claire, and John claims the boss is coming to throw her out himself. Alex approaches the group but instead of ejecting her, he shocks everyone by introducing Claire as his lawful wife.

Alex announces Claire is his lawful wife, shocking the crowd. John and Erica insist she is a convicted fraud who served seven years. A young child runs out calling Claire mommy and defends her, leaving everyone stunned.

Alex reveals he has always known about Claire's prison record and proposed to her regardless. As John and Erica keep attacking her, Alex thanks John for leaving Claire, saying it allowed him to marry an incredible woman and give Ella a loving mother.

John calls Claire a fraud, and she reveals she served seven years in prison to take the fall for him, secretly clearing every obstacle in his path. John denies it, crediting his success to a mysterious backer. Claire hints she is that backer and warns he will soon beg for her forgiveness.

Alex announces that Stellar Technologies is terminating John as director of R&D for humiliating Claire. John tries to argue his worth, but Alex states Claire's vision and feelings matter more, revealing the company would not exist without her.

John tries to save himself by belittling Claire, but Alex warns him never to insult his wife again and orders both John and Erica to leave. John threatens that Miss C will retaliate over the lost investment, yet Alex remains unmoved and has everyone who bullied Claire thrown out.

James Langford arrives and warns Alex that expelling John will destroy Stellar Technologies. He publicly reveals that Claire gave birth to a daughter in prison. John and Erica seize the chance to attack her character. Alex asks Claire for the truth, and she admits she did have a daughter while incarcerated.

Claire reveals she was pregnant when imprisoned seven years ago and gave birth six months later, but the child did not survive. John and Erica accuse her of lying and urge Alex to divorce her to protect the company. Claire retorts that John never cared about her, so he could not know the child was his.

A recording is played publicly in which John denies fathering Claire's child, calling her another man's leftovers. Erica mocks Claire for not knowing the father and trying to shake them down. Alex stays silent amid the accusations, while Ella rushes to defend her mother.

Ella pushes John away, calling Claire the only one who truly cares about her. Despite objections from John and his subordinate, Alex publicly declares his belief in Claire and accepts any consequences alone.

Claire asks Thomas Reed to deliver a surprise. John produces a custom necklace found at Claire's hotel, claiming it belongs to the father of her child's real father. Alex examines it and declares the necklace is his own.

Alex confirms the necklace bears the Langford family custom mark. He recalls pulling a drugged woman from a lake seven years ago and losing the necklace that night. Claire realizes he is the rescuer she has been searching for.

Alex confirms Ella is his and Claire's biological daughter, vowing to protect Claire from further harm. John's allies react with fury. Meanwhile, Thomas Reed calls to announce that the shadow investor Mrs. C will personally attend John's welcome gala at Stellar Technologies.

John boasts that shadow investor Mrs. C handpicked him and poured over a hundred million into his research, then threatens Alex over his dismissal. Allies urge Alex to apologize, but John declares he will leave and build a new tech giant. Claire retorts that the one being crushed is John, not her.

John threatens to use Mrs. C and Titan Capital's president Thomas Reed to crush Claire, demanding an apology. Claire calls Thomas in front of everyone, ordering him to arrive within ten minutes, strip John of every honor she ever gave him, and authorize an additional ten-billion-dollar investment in Stellar Technologies.

Thomas tells Claire he has sent his son Julian to deliver the family crest. Claire orders Thomas to reach the gala in ten minutes, strip John of every honor, and add ten billion to Stellar Tech. John mocks her as a fraudster and threatens to humiliate her in front of her daughter, just as Julian Reed appears.

Julian Reed appears at the gala, stunning the guests. John insists Claire is lying and demands she apologize to Julian in front of everyone, claiming that if she does, Thomas will have to resign from Titan Capital. Claire refuses and warns John that the fallout will destroy him when the truth comes out.

Julian apologizes for the gala disruption, calling John and Claire a sewer rat and shameless mutts. He declares he came for John and promises to personally handle any trouble, leaving John publicly disgraced.

Julian confronts Alex about revoking John's offer and ignoring his father's recommendation. Alex admits it. Julian threatens a commercial blockade, but Claire steps in, declaring that Alex's decisions are hers and no one may question them. Julian, stunned that anyone would dare cross the Reeds, demands to know who she is.

James berates Claire and demands she apologize to Julian to save Alex from ruin. Claire remains unfazed, insisting even Thomas Reed must answer to her. Julian orders a family crest brought in, declaring it a personal gift from the chairwoman to John.

Julian presents Claire's family crest and announces John as the chairwoman's chosen fiancé. John, elated, publicly denies his engagement to Erica and slaps her. James warns Alex that the capital queen can destroy Stellar Technologies with a single phone call.

John mocks Alex for destroying Stellar Tech. Julian announces John's appointment as Titan Capital's West Coast exclusive representative with a $300 million annual salary. John gloats to Claire, unaware the role is only his because of the chairwoman's fiancé status.

Julian demands Alex kneel and apologize to John or be replaced as CEO of Stellar Tech. John smugly warns Claire that once he joins Titan Capital, Alex will lose all power. Claire calmly tells John he is the one living in a fantasy.

John boasts to Claire about Julian's attention and mocks Alex's impending downfall. Claire calmly states that Alex is the one who truly deserves it all, and John threw away everything that could have been his. Onlookers are stunned that the chairwoman has suddenly withdrawn support from John and suspect Julian messed up.

John threatens Alex, claiming his last lifeline is gone. Julian steps in and warns John not to push too far. John fires back, insisting that Thomas and Claire are there to support him, and orders Julian to leave. Julian hints that if he walks out now, the welcome gala cannot go on.

John mocks Claire for betting on Alex, but Claire declares she will be Alex's rock when he is down. She announces she is giving Alex tenfold the love she once wasted on John, and warns John he will soon realize what he threw away.

Julian orders his men to throw Claire out, but she refuses and insists he is the one who should leave. Kevin and others restrain Alex as he tries to protect his wife, claiming it is for his own good. Amid the chaos, Ella suddenly appears and stops the assault on Claire.

Ella bites Julian and accuses him of bullying her parents, saying Uncle Thomas will teach him a lesson. Julian calls Claire a liar and claims she abandoned Ella. Claire promises never to leave her daughter again. Ella grabs back her necklace, but Julian throws it in the trash.

Claire confronts John over her daughter's broken necklace and slaps him. Ella asks to call Uncle Thomas to teach the bad guys a lesson, so Claire phones him. She then publicly announces Titan Capital is pulling all investment from Stellar Technologies, shocking John.

Ella tells Uncle Thomas that a bad man ripped off her necklace and was mean to her mom and dad. She reveals her father is Alex Langford. Thomas heads over to teach them a lesson. John calls Ella a little mongrel, and Claire warns him and Julian their days are numbered.

Julian orders Claire and her family to leave. Alex declares Claire is his wife and no one touches her. Julian warns him not to cross Thomas Reed's son, but Alex refuses to back down. Julian calls security to throw them out.

Thomas Reed arrives as Julian tries to throw Claire and Alex out. Thomas slaps Julian and formally introduces Claire as the chairwoman of Titan Capital. Julian and John are left in disbelief and despair.

James begs Claire not to pull Titan Capital's investment. Thomas resigns as president, taking full blame for Julian's actions. John kneels and pleads for a second chance, but Claire declares he lost her the moment he betrayed her.

Claire revokes every resource she ever gave John and cuts all ties. Enraged, John lunges with a knife, and Alex is wounded protecting her. Federal agents arrive, and John's accomplice surrenders on the spot, naming John as the mastermind of a seven-year-old fraud case.

Alex and Claire exchange wedding vows, each promising to love and stand by the other for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health. They are pronounced husband and wife, then leave for home together with their daughter.
