Me and My Sister's Fiancé

Ciara wins a bet on the race course, only to have her family demand repayment for twenty years of upbringing. Her sister Lena's fiancé, Mr. Vale, steps in to settle the debt, but their history is tangled in a transaction of sex and revenge.

Ciara arrives empty-handed at her stepmother Vivian's birthday party and clashes with her father Gordon and Vivian. She accuses them of destroying the family's reputation long ago by having an affair behind her mother's back.

Ciara demands her birth certificate to change her surname, but Gordon orders her to repay two decades of upbringing costs or accept an arranged marriage. She exposes the family's dirty secrets about the Reed ranch. Vale arrives as Lena's fiancé while Vivian tries to cover up the fight.

After Ciara clashes with her stepmother Vivian, Lena tries to intervene, but Ciara warns her not to touch her. Vale steps in and pulls Lena behind him. Ciara then grabs Vale's hand and asks if he is trying to seduce her.

Vale asks Ciara what she just said, but Lena and Vivian jump in to list Ciara's reckless habits—horse racing, bar-hopping, gambling, and sleeping with strangers. Ciara fires back, warning Lena not to mess with her fiancé, then wishes them well and walks away.

Vale shows up at Ciara's home late at night, demanding to know why she caused a scene at Lena's. Ciara turns the accusation around, warning him not to mention their arrangement in front of Lena. Vale insists he needs a proper, elegant wife, while Ciara mocks that he paid and she worked, so they are even, and says she has other plans tonight.

Ciara tells Vale that if he calls the police, she will report him for soliciting prostitution, so they can share a cell. She questions whether his engagement to Lena can afford the delay, and demands to know what he really wants from her.

Ciara meets Ethan at the race grounds. He still calls her his partner from their shooting competition six months ago. He gives her a custom saddle made to match her own, then abruptly asks if she has a boyfriend.

Ethan brings Ciara to his uncle's private estate so she can help check on his horse. After she finishes and prepares to leave, Ethan jumps into a pond for a swim and tries to pull her in. As they struggle, a man Ethan calls Uncle Kingston suddenly appears.
