Faking Forever with My Frenemy

Violet needs a stand-in husband for her dying grandfather and approaches Ross Andrews, the man she has despised since childhood. They agree on strict rules: no feelings, no cheating, and a six-month charade as the perfect couple. Ross accepts, setting their fake marriage in motion.

Violet waits for her fiancé Colin, only to have him arrive with Nadia. Colin admits he never intended to marry her; he proposed solely to get back at Ross Andrews, who had warned every guy away from Violet in high school. When Colin insults her dying grandfather, Violet ends the engagement on the spot.

The doctor tells Violet that any shock could shorten her grandfather's remaining time. Violet assures him the wedding is still on, she just needs a new groom. Elsewhere, Ross is caught at Nadia's by her returning husband and flees in a panic.

Ross's father erupts over the scandal of his son being caught with a married woman, fearing it will derail his presidential run. He blames Violet for Ross's change and issues an ultimatum: fix his playboy ways in two weeks or lose his three-hundred-billion-dollar inheritance.

Ross is told to find a girlfriend in two weeks to prove he has changed, and he decides to fake it. Meanwhile, Violet appears at a social event and faces ridicule. Ross's father admits to forcing him to cut ties with Violet, and Ross learns of an old insulting nickname he once used for her.

Violet propositions a stranger in a bar for a fake marriage, but he turns aggressive. Ross intervenes and drives the man off, though Violet refuses his help. Their verbal sparring reveals old wounds, and Ross notices her engagement ring is missing.

Violet rebuffs Ross's concern and reveals that Colin dumped her. She admits her grandfather has six months to live and needs a replacement husband. Ross volunteers to marry her, leaving Violet stunned.

Violet lashes out at Ross for toying with her, but he argues they both need this. He proposes a six-month fake marriage to repair his reputation and comfort her sick grandfather, followed by divorce. They agree on strict rules and the ruin they risk if caught.

Seconds after sealing their deal, Ross drags Violet into the public eye to perform as a couple. She insists she still hates him, but he catches her racing pulse and counters with a provocative remark.

Violet and Ross trade insults in private, their verbal sparring quickly turning physical. Ross taunts her with an old nickname, and Violet pushes back hard, their hostile clash laced with a dangerous attraction.
