Isabella dismisses a provocation as amateurish, calmly stating her IQ exceeds two hundred. Edward is surprised by the food she produces, and she then reveals unexpected weapons and combat skills that leave others stunned.

King Henry postpones Edward's naming as crown prince. Margaret seizes the moment to mock Isabella's altered gown and odor, ordering mother and son to leave. As Isabella comforts Edward by the lake, Philip shoves her into the water and Edward cries for help.

Isabella pulls Edward from the lake and performs mouth-to-mouth resuscitation in front of the crowd. Margaret seizes the moment to accuse her of desecrating the prince's body and dragging him into the water out of spite, demanding her execution and the stripping of her family's titles. The royal physician declares Edward has stopped breathing, and the onlookers press the king for judgment.

After Edward revives, Margaret insists Isabella tried to murder the crown prince, but Isabella accuses Margaret of pushing them into the lake. King Henry sides with Margaret, then falls into the water himself. Once rescued, he places Isabella under house arrest for a month, leaving the final judgment to the Queen Dowager.

Margaret orders the kitchen to serve Isabella and Edward rock-hard black bread, rotten greens, and barely any water. Isabella declares the old days are over and tells her maid Annan to find every lock in the manor. She seals the gates so nothing foul can be smuggled in again.

Isabella shows Edward and Annan a device she calls super 3D printing, producing a food preserver, a sleep aid, and a light. She summons happiness robots to drill Edward through physical exercise and academic lessons, preparing him to reclaim the crown prince title before envoys from the Grand Duchy of Eisenstein arrive in one month.

Margaret and Philip dress up to welcome the Queen Dowager back from the abbey, winning her favor with a hand-copied musical score. When the Queen Dowager asks for Edward, she learns the manor gates are shut and Isabella and Edward are still in bed at noon, which enrages her.

Margaret and Philip paint Edward and Isabella as obese, lazy, and an embarrassment to the crown. Furious, the Queen Dowager orders her steward to bring Edward to her chambers immediately so she can educate him herself.
