Lost Queen of the Ice

Brooke steps onto the ice alone, facing doubts about having no partner, coach, or training record. She answers with a simple declaration that she can skate. At home, she walks in on her father with another woman, and the confrontation spills over. She announces she will skate the Olympic trials with Brooke and challenges Claudia Novak.

Amid the chaos of a disaster, Piper is missing and a blonde child is found alive but in shock. Claudia's mother identifies the child as the Novak kid and decides to foster her until Piper is found, giving her the name Brooke Wiley.

Brooke wakes to find herself tied up. Her mother admits she has sold her, calling her legal and pretty. Brooke protests that she is about to qualify for the Olympics, but her mother dismisses her dream and leaves the room.

Brooke breaks free from the room where she was tied up and jumps out a window. Walking the streets alone, she realizes she is now homeless, but decides the ice rink is the only place where her life makes sense.

Pressed by reporters, Ian confirms his hockey career ended with a concussion and explains his move to pairs skating with the Novaks. He acknowledges exploring a partnership with Sofia Novak. When asked about the missing Piper Novak, he reveals he once had her hand but let go.

Brooke and Ian reunite at the rink, where Ian's mother brings coffee and is surprised they already know each other. Brooke admits they nearly made a terrible decision after the St. Mauret Gala, but the timing was wrong. When Ian asks if it was because of Piper, Brooke says she will not compete with a ghost forever.
