Peter is 25, tall, fat, red hair, the man the floor is afraid of. He left his city after a Saturday-night qualifier: Maya, 18, smaller and younger, beat him in front of a packed gym. The team cut him. He put on a white shirt and a black tie and became someone people do not interrupt. Three years later Maya is hired at his bank. He remembers the red braid in the elevator.
