Don't Call Me Mate, I Am Your Brother's Luna

Sorlene awakens on the day she must choose her mate. She rejects her abusive former husband Breccan and instead selects his feared Rogue brother, Loric.

Sorlene firmly declares Loric as her mate before the Alpha, calling him the only male worthy of her trust. The Alpha, indebted to her father, decrees that whichever son she chooses will be the next Alpha. Sorlene asks to keep her decision secret while plotting revenge against Breccan.

Sorlene ignores Breccan's taunts and orders, coldly reminding him he has only ten days before he is stripped of his crown. Mabel appears, still injured, and fusses over Breccan's wound, prompting him to demand that Sorlene apologize to her.

Breccan demands Sorlene apologize for Mabel's injury, but Sorlene refuses, stating Mabel tripped on her own. Breccan mocks her for begging the Alpha, but Sorlene reveals the Alpha summoned her to host her coming-of-age ceremony. When Breccan insists she has no choice but him, Sorlene hints she might choose Loric instead.

Sorlene finds Loric bleeding and insists on cleaning his wound, dismissing the rumors that he is a monster. She tells him the Alpha will host her coming-of-age ceremony in ten days and asks him to attend. Loric promises to bring a worthy gift and declares he will claim her as his only mate before the entire pack.

Sorlene insists on going to the sacred moonspring alone, leaving her mother to prepare for the ceremony. She recalls her mother's death after catching Breccan and Mabel together. Breccan and Mabel plot for Sorlene to declare him as her mate before the pack.

Sorlene is intercepted by Breccan and Mabel at the sacred spring. Breccan demands she strip and grovel for him, warning her to accept Mabel's permanent place. Sorlene declares she will never form a mate bond with him.

Breccan and Mabel mock Sorlene for choosing Loric, calling him a monster. Breccan declares his devotion to Mabel, claiming Sorlene is unworthy. Later, Loric appears with an early coming-of-age gift, admitting he cannot watch her bond with another. Sorlene assures him her mate will only ever be him.

At Sorlene's coming-of-age ceremony, neither Breccan nor Loric appears, and guests gossip that no one wants her as a mate. When Breccan arrives with Mabel, Sorlene confronts him publicly. He dismisses her as childish, deepening her humiliation.

Mabel pretends to fall and claims she cannot move her toes, accusing Sorlene of injuring her. Breccan demands Sorlene kneel and apologize, but she refuses. Loric suddenly appears and, invoking the old Alpha's order, commands Sorlene to take the stage and name her mate.
