Reborn Empress Takes Her Harem of Kings

The Empress awakens three years in the past, on her first anniversary with Dylan. Remembering how Adrian's lies drove her to whip Dylan for pearls in her last life, she stops his crying and refuses the pearls. She resolves to heal his wounds by burning her own life force.

The Empress admits her wrongs and offers Dylan a blood pact to break their marriage curse, freeing him to return to the Endless Sea. Dylan fears a trick and begs for mercy, but she swears she is sincere and promises to help him in the future.

Cain confronts Dylan over his wounds, but Dylan insists the Empress gave him a blood pact to free him. Cain reminds them of Ethan, the Snake Tribe's holy son, whom the Empress once sent to Adrian. Recalling her past life, the Empress rushes to stop Adrian from torturing Ethan.

The Empress arrives and slaps Adrian, then orders him out of the palace for disrespecting a royal consort. She apologizes to Ethan and Cain, admitting she was wrong to listen to the prime minister, and vows to protect them with her life.

The Empress confronts Adrian over his accusation that Cain attacked him. She exposes the wound on his arm as self-inflicted, calling out his clumsy attempt to frame the tiger consort. Adrian tries to invoke the life debt from Soul Break Cliff, but she no longer believes him.

The Empress confronts Adrian for stealing credit for the cliff rescue, making it clear she knows Cain was the one who saved her. Adrian tries to insist it was him, but she orders him out of the hall and threatens to cut off his legs if he ever returns.

Adrian warns the Empress that if she keeps protecting her consorts, he will send her to an early grave. He declares that tomorrow night will be her deathbed and that her empire and three consorts will be his. The Empress summons the royal blood pacts and moves to annul the fated marriages.

The Empress burns her own life force to annul the royal blood pacts, freeing her three consorts from their fated marriages. She admits she wronged them and says they can take her life if they wish, asking only that they spare her people. Suspicious, the consorts press her, and she claims boredom and disgust, ordering them gone before the masquerade.

Ethan warns the Empress that Adrian is secretly moving troops and the masquerade is a suicide mission. She accuses him of jealousy, calls Adrian her most loyal man, and has Ethan thrown into the dungeon. She then resolves to face the danger alone.

The Empress confronts Adrian at the masquerade, and he admits his betrayal, denouncing the royal family as hypocrites. She orders his arrest, but discovers the guests are all his people. The moment is nothing like her past life.
